What is your Guild doing?


The Turquoise Trail Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America meets on the 2nd Saturday afternoons at 1:15 PM, most months at the Rudolfo Anaya North Valley Library. Visitors welcome.

Programs for the 2nd half of 2023

July 8-Kathleen Weston will lead us in a technique for finishing our nametag. 

August 12-Laurie Redel at Stitchers Garden has agreed to host us at her store.  She will go over finishing techniques, making twisted cord, ideas instead of just framing, etc. Since she has another group in the afternoon, our group will meet at 9:30 AM until about noon. There is limited seating for 15 and a fee of $10.00, So you need to sign up as soon as possible. (We will meet at the library this afternoon.)

September 9-Laura Sandison will be teaching the Golden Shamrock. Directions, supply list, etc., is on the EGA website under Members Only – Petite Project. Laura will give us more directions soon.

October 14-Tour the Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe. Guided tour of the Folk Art Museum 10:00 AM. Admittance $7.00 NM residents with valid ID, $12.00 out of state. 

November 11-Danelle at the Beaded Iris has agreed to teach a beaded bracelet. She will have a couple of color way choices for us to choose from. Cost approximately $20.00. 

December 9-Holiday Party. Details later.

Each member has been asked to tell us about their favorite designer and show a couple of projects that they have stitched from them. Maybe introduce you to someone you haven’t heard of yet. A volunteer per month may speak.

Show and tell.  To earn a ticket for the drawing it must be completed, as in made a pillow, bag, framed, stand up etc. A drawing will be held at the Holiday Party for next year’s dues.  That’s total dues, National Regional and local, i.e., $60.00. You can also earn a ticket by bringing in a new member. The more tickets a member has, the better chance of winning.
