The Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council was formed in 1997 to provide the opportunity for local fiber guild members to show their work to the public. It has grown from 6 guilds then to 14 now. The Board of Directors has seven members who are dedicated to continuing this tradition of hosting the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta every other year. As a 501(c)3 organization the proceeds from the Fiesta provide funding for other public shows and scholarships.
