Develop your skils as you particiapte in the lectures, classes, exhibitions, study groups and more, available throug the local co-sponsoring fiber art guilds. ABQ Modern Quilt Guild
The Albuquerque Modern Quilt Guild (ABQMQG) is a dynamic community of quilters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, dedicated to exploring and promoting modern quilting. The guild welcomes quilters of all skill levels and ages, fostering creativity, education, and community engagement.

In 2025, ABQMQG is embracing the theme "Quilting Around the World," featuring monthly programs that explore quilting traditions and techniques from various cultures. These sessions include presentations by experts, both in-person and via Zoom, offering members a global perspective on quilting.
American Sewing Guild, Albuquerque Chapter
The Albuquerque Chapter of the American Sewing Guild (ASG) is a vibrant community dedicated to promoting sewing as both an art form and a practical life skill. Open to enthusiasts of all skill levels, the chapter offers a range of activities designed to inspire and educate its members. The Albuquerque ASG chapter focuses on fostering a supportive environment where members can share their passion for sewing. Activities include workshops, guest lectures, community service projects, and social gatherings. The chapter also hosts a "Trading Post" at general meetings, allowing members to exchange gently used sewing supplies and tools.

Bead Society of New Mexico
The Bead Society of New Mexico (BSNM) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Albuquerque, dedicated to promoting the art and craft of beading and related disciplines. Founded in 1984, the society offers educational programs, community events, and a welcoming space for artists of all skill levels to connect and grow. BSNM aims to benefit and develop its members and the community through education, appreciation, and involvement in beads and bead-related subjects. This includes beading, wirework, metalwork, cabochon creation, design, and other creative applications.
· General Meetings: are held on the third Tuesday of each month (excluding July and December. These gatherings feature guest speakers, demonstrations, and opportunities for members to share their work.
· Bead Time: An open studio session every Thursday at the New Mexico Bead Company (4111 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque. This is a casual, social event where members and guests can work on personal project. No membership is required to attend.

Turquoise Trail
The Turquoise Trail Chapter is the Albuquerque-based branch of the Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of embroidery and needlework. New Mexico Crochet Guild

New Mexico Woodturners

Thimbleweed Quilters
Thimbleweed Quilters is a vibrant quilting guild based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The group meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Sabana Grande Recreation Center, located at 4110 Sabana Grande Ave SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
The guild offers a welcoming environment for quilters of all skill levels, providing opportunities for learning, sharing, and community engagement. Activities include quilting demonstrations, Show & Tell sessions, and participation in community service projects. Members also have the chance to sign up for committees and retreats.
One of the guild's notable events is the Thimbleweeds Outdoor Quilt Show, scheduled for the last Sunday in April, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Park on Pinetree Ave in Rio Rancho. The event features hundreds of handmade quilts, vendors, a raffle quilt, and a food truck.
